Brother Garland was born August 23rd, 1934 in Luling, Texas.  He was initiated as an Entered Apprentice Mason on June 19th, 1967, Passed to the degree of Fellowcraft on July 24th, 1967 and Raised to the subline degree of Master Mason on August 21st, 1967 in Robstown Lodge No. 1062 in Robstown, Texas.   He served as Worshipful Master of Robstown Lodge No. 1062, 1972-1973.  He affiliated with Oso Naval Lodge in 1976.  He served as District Deputy Grand Master of Masonic District 37-A in 1990.  He served as Worshipful Master of Oso Naval Lodge, 1996-1997.  He is the 77th Endowed Member of Oso Naval Lodge No. 1282 A.F. & A.M.
